History of PIP Semarang
We would like to thank the Semarang Maritime Science Polytechnic and Semarang PIP (READ History of Seafarers' Education in Indonesia, Seafarers' Academic Education and Hierarchy on Ships):
1. From 1951 to 1955, PIP Semarang was named Semarang Shipping School, abbreviated as SPS.
2. From 1955 to 1975, the Semarang Menteng Shipping School was abbreviated as SPM Semarang
3. From 1974 to 1981 Parivira Pelayaran Besar Education was abbreviated as P3B Semarang
4. From 1979 to 1995, it became a Maritime Education and Training Center (BPLP) Semarang for the Stratum A (Grade III) Program for 3 Years of Education.
5. In 1995 it was still called BPLP Semarang, but the education program was upgraded to Diploma IV with a 4-year education Polytechnic of Shipping Science.
6. In 1999 the Polytechnic of Sailing Science was established based on PIP SEMARANG. This is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. KM 81 Year 1999 Tq. 13 October 1999 PIP Work Procedure.
